Several times a year volunteers help collate, bind and prepare scriptures for shipment to the mission fields worldwide.
Hartford Care Center Services
A hymn sing and Bible study is held Tuesday evenings from 6:30 p.m. - 7:15 p.m. for the residents at the Hartford Care Center (Hwy. 60 across from Hartford Hospital). This ministry outreach allows volunteers to develop a servant's heart for the elderly.
Music Ministry
Under the direction of Mr. John (Jack) Gordon, Choir Director and Song Leader, a variety of musical groups are offered to fulfill the scripture, "Teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord." Colossians 3:16. You will receive a blessing from hearing our Adult Choir, Ladies Ensemble, Men's Quartet, Children's Choirs and College/Career Choir.
Church Visitation
This church visitation outreach is held at 6:30 p.m. on the first, second and fourth Thursdays of each month where various types of visits are made by Pastor Gordon and volunteer teams from the church. The
mission of this effort is to get the Word out! - Acts 1:8 "...and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth." Types of visits include:
- Visitor contacts
- Prospects for the church
- Prospects for evangelism
- Door to Door tract distribution
Adult Fellowship
Varied activities are held periodically for the adult membership to encourage fellowship and friendship.
